A 'Small Steps' Dundee Women's Trail leaflet has been launched to allow children and families to learn more about some of the notable women connected to Dundee
The outreach project worked with over 125 children from Rosebank Primary School, Our Lady’s RC Primary School and St. Joseph’s RC Primary School. Primary 5 classes worked with a team of artists to learn about a selection of the women featured in the original Dundee Women’s trail. Through portraiture, storytelling and comics the children created and imagined what life would have been like for these women and these works informed the 'Small Steps' leaflet.
The work created during the six month project will be on show at The McManus and will be open to the public on weekdays until Thursday 23 June from 3:00pm – 4:45pm.
This project has been in partnership with the Dundee Women’s Trail, Dundee School Library Service and The McManus Dundee’s Art Gallery & Museum.
